Revolutionizing the non-alcoholic drink market: creating branding for a farm-fresh, organic cider company.
As part of a university project, our group was tasked with the challenge to market a new non-alcoholic cider as though it was just entering the market. The goal of this cider was to become the go-to option for the Swedish population looking for a naturally refreshing drink with no alcohol content, thus appealing to all ages.
A core value we wanted to convey was embracing authenticity in every aspect of the product, rooted in heritage and dedication to the craft of making cider. Additionally, we wanted to brand the product as a natural, healthier substitute for those looking for a sweet and bubbly drink. We imagined the company as being committed to helping the environment, using sustainable farming and production methods, thus wanting to be sustainable with their packaging as well (recyclable cans).
In the end, we aimed to "focus on the natural."
Something simple, like paper cutouts
The idea the group shared was similar: keep with the "simple, all-natural" theme and create something that appears friendly as an alternative to alcoholic ciders. Drawing from the effect that is created when you cut out paper using scissors, we adapted a typeface to suit our needs, even converting an "a" into an apple-shaped "ä" using small leaves in place of two dots. The apple doubles as a heart, showing the love and care we have for apples and the harvesting process.
A promotional poster was created to showcase information about the brand, the colours, the logo, and all other important information.
